Yep, it was a good day!
The last 4 summers have started with V recovering from some pretty intense health issues. This year is different – And it feels GOOD!
V has been really healthy this year, pair that with a great year at school and I have one happy girl – which makes me one happy mom. Our summer kicked off the way that it should; enjoying the warm summer sun while playing in the water at Wild Waves.
Spending the day with the cousins made our day extra fun!
We jumped in the wave pool and floated the lazy river (getting in the tube with V was quite a sight!) got a face full of water on a small slide at Pirates Cove, and warmed up in the hot tub. Watching the cousins on the crazy rides and hearing their screams was all part of the entertainment. We left happy, sun kissed and tired. A perfect start to Seattle’s best season.

Admission at Wild Waves covers just about everything:
- The Water Park – A giant wave pool, kid’s play area (Pirate’s Cove), lazy river and water slides that vary from mellow to insane. All included in the price of admission.
- The Amusement Park – Theme park rides for kids (and adults) of all ages. Kiddie rides and a carousel are balanced by giant roller coasters for thrill seekers. Everything except I-5 Dive Skycoaster and the Soaring Eagle Zip Line are included.
- The Entertainment – Extreme Raptors Bird Show, and all sorts of fun events – go here for a complete schedule. All included in the price of admission.
You’ll run out of “day” before you run out of things to do.

A few tips for visiting Wild Waves:
- Parking is $10 – cash only
- No outside food is allowed, but there are plenty of places to grab a bite inside the park. Lots of people pack ice chests and have a parking lot picnic to save a little cash.
- Need a changing area or place for privacy for your special needs child? There are 2 medic stations available to support you.
- Get there early if you want a lounge chair, they are a hot commodity
