Caroline's Cart grocery cart for special needs

If you have have special needs child that has limited mobility and would benefit from being in the shopping cart seat but the standard grocery cart seats don’t work for your child, then you’ll want to find out more about Caroline’s Cart grocery cart for special needs!

I love taking my daughter with me places, but I have to admit, the grocery store is a challenge. In order to manage the shopping cart and push my daughter’s wheelchair, I end up pushing her and pulling the shopping cart behind me. Obviously this is less than ideal; our train takes up a lot of space in the aisle, and trying to maneuver both pieces of equipment is a huge challenge.  And trying to get back to your car pulling a full cart while pushing a wheelchair through a busy parking lot is dangerous.

Enter Caroline’s Cart, a new product being developed by mom of a special needs kid. She struggled with the same thing and had a new shopping cart designed and tested, taking things into consideration that only a mom with a special needs kid would think about. Watch the video and imagine how this could work for your child, then read below to find out how to have a Caroline’s Cart at your grocery store.

Does this look like something that would make the grocery store more accessible for you and your child? Right now Caroline’s Cart is getting ready for production, but we need to let the grocery stores know that there’s a demand for these. The cost is not prohibitive, they cost about the same as “amusement” carts – the ones with steering wheels for kids.

Caroline’s Carts are found in many stores nationwide, and are now in a testing phase with Target!  Click here and scroll down to the US map and click on your state to find stores that have Caroline’s Carts available.  I just found out that there’s a store using Caroline’s Carts not too far from me, so I’m off to check that out tomorrow.

Let’s get these in our stores, these carts will be provide a huge service for moms like us:

  • Tell your grocery store manager about it and how it would benefit the shopping capabilities of lots of moms, print out of the spec sheet to give to them.
  • Take it to the next level and contact your grocery store’s corporate office.

Let me know what you think!

I am interested in helping my 14 year old daughter in a community service project. Can you tell me ho much the carolines cart costs to purchase 1 for a grocery store in Heber Utah? She has an opportunity to obtain a community grant to help with part of the purchase. Thank you.

Retailers should contact Technibilt to purchase. The carts cost$850.00 each. Drew Ann Long, the founder and inventor may be reached at drew@carolinescart.com.
